One thing leads to another. The catalogue for this 1995 exhibition prefigured many commissions in the years that followed. I went on to design Bacon catalogues for the Ashmolean Museum and British Council; Kossoff catalogues for Annely Juda Fine Art and Mitchell-Innes & Nash; Kitaj for Marlborough Fine Art; Auerbach for the Fitzwilliam Museum; and Freud publications for Rizzoli, Jonathan Cape, Matthew Marks Gallery, Acquavella and Tate. And finally, twenty-one years later, a Michael Andrews catalogue for Gagosian.
